HubSpot - How to create custom property object for data push?

Once you enable data push on Pronto

• Pronto signature needs to be configured for each object to identify the record source after the data is pushed to HubSpot.

• Configure Pronto's Partner ID for each object to identify Pronto's Partner ID after the data is pushed to HubSpot.

This article outlines a series of steps to do the following: 

• How to create custom objects on HubSpot

Pre-requisite

• HubSpot - Integration with Pronto
• HubSpot - Data mapping HubSpot objects to Pronto objects
• HubSpot - Enable Data push

Custom property can be created for the following HubSpot objects 

• Contacts

• Accounts

• Deals

• Campaigns

• Leads

• Product

To add the Signature field and the Partner field, we need to create custom Property for HubSpot objects. 

Steps needed to create custom object on HubSpot 

1. Login to HubSpot with your admin credentials and navigate to Data Management under Settings. 
   
   
   
   
2. Under Data Management, click on Properties.
   
   
   
   
3. On the Properties page, you will be able to Create custom property objects for existing Properties. Under Select an object, by default you will see the Contact properties. Click on the Create property tab. 
   
   
   
   
4. On the Create a new property window, select the Group by clicking on the drop-down menu. 
   
   Here in the below example, we are adding the Label as Pronto Signature and the Group selected is Contact information. 
   
   
   
   
5. Once you click Next, click the drop-down for the Field type and select Single-line text.
   
   
   
   
6. In the Preview box, type "Pronto Signature" and click on Create on the bottom right of the screen. 
   
   
   
   
7. Once you click on Create,. you will see the pop-up which reads "Pronto Signature was created". You can click the View property to view the property details. 
   
   
   
   
8. Follow the same steps above and add an other custom property object named Partner for Contact properties. 
   
   
   
   
9. On the Create a new property pop-up window, we are adding the Label as Partner and the Group selected is Contact information. 
   
   Click on Next.
   
   
   
   
10. Click on the drop-down for Text input and select Single-line text and click on Create. 
    
    
    
    
11. In the Preview box, type "Partner" and click on Create on the bottom right of the screen. 
    
    
    
    
12. Once you click on Create,. you will see the pop-up which reads "Partner was created". You can click the View property to view the property details.
