This article outlines a series of steps to do the following:
- Enable Data pull to import data
- Import Product(s) from Salesforce to a Relationship
- Create a Salesforce Data Source for Marketing Campaigns
- Import Campaign(s) from a Salesforce Data Source
- Create a Salesforce Data Source for Sales Opportunity
- Import Opportunity from a Salesforce Data Source
- Create a Salesforce Data Source for Sales - Contacts
- Import Contacts from a Salesforce Data Source
- Create a Salesforce Data Source for Marketing - Leads
- Import Leads from a Salesforce Data Source
Pre-requisite
- Configure Salesforce integration with Pronto
- Data mapping to be completed for the objects that need to be pulled in to Pronto
- Enable Data pull once Data mapping is complete
Steps to Enable Data Pull on Pronto
- Once Data mapping is completed, you will see Data pull right under Data mapping. You have to enable Data pull for you to be able to pull data from Salesforce into Pronto.
- Once you toggle the switch, you will see a confirmation message to the bottom left of the screen that reads "Data pull configuration has been enabled successfully".
- Once this is successful, you are all set to import your Salesforce data to Pronto.
- You also have an option to edit the data pull frequency. The default is set to 24 Hours interval.
Steps to Import data from Salesforce
Import Product(s) from Salesforce to a Relationship
NOTE: Product(s) needs to be imported first from salesforce at a system level.
- To import product(s) from salesforce, select the respective relationship in the Ecosystem page and navigate to the Products section by clicking on the Configuration option in the sub-navigation.
- Click on Add/Remove products.
- This will open up a dialogue window with the list of all available products
- Select the product(s) that are applicable to this relationship.
- Click on Done. This will import the selected Product(s) into this relationship.
Create a Salesforce Data Source for Marketing Campaign
- To create a Data Source from salesforce, select the respective relationship in the Ecosystem page and navigate to the Marketing section by clicking on the Configuration option in of the sub-navigation.
- Navigate to the bottom of the Marketing page
- Click on Add data source. As Salesforce is integrated into Pronto, you will see Salesforce in the listed options.
- Click on the Salesforce icon. This will open a dialogue window to name this data source. Click on Save and Continue.
- You are navigated into the Data Source page to create a filter to retrieve records from salesforce related to this relationship.
Toggle the Enable switch under Pull campaigns.
In this specific example, we are creating a filter for Campaign by Name i.e Campaign Type = Name. Select the Operator and click on Save.
Note: More than one filter condition can be added - Once you click on Save, you will see the details of the newly created data source. To pull records, click the Pull now tab for Pronto to communicate with Salesforce to pull the Marketing Campaigns.
Import Campaign(s) from a Salesforce Data Source
- To import campaign(s) from a Data Source connected to salesforce, select the respective relationship in the Ecosystem page and navigate to the Campaign section by clicking on the Marketing option in the the sub-navigation.
- Click on Data Sources in the upper right corner of the Campaigns page.
- You will see a pop-up window with the available data sources.
- Click on Refresh data. This will fetch all the available records specific to that data source filter.
Create a Salesforce Data Source for Sales Opportunity
- To create a Data Source from salesforce, select the respective relationship in the Ecosystem page and navigate to the Sales section by clicking on the Configuration option in the of the sub-navigation.
- Navigate to the bottom of the Sales page
- Click on Add data source. As Salesforce is integrated into this Pronto instance you will see the salesforce icon in the listed options.
- Click on the salesforce icon. This will open a dialogue window to name this data source. Click on Save and Continue.
- You are navigated into the Data Source page to create a filter to retrieve records from salesforce related to this relationship.
Toggle the Enable switch under Pull opportunities.
In this specific example, we are creating a filter for Opportunity by Name i.e Opportunity Name = any text (To pull all opportunities from Salesforce we are using any text). Click on Save.
NOTE: More than one filter condition can be added. - Once you click on Save, you will see the details of the newly created data source. To pull opportunity records, click the Pull now tab for Pronto to communicate with Salesforce to pull Opportunities.
Import Opportunity from a Salesforce Data Source
- To import opportunity(s) from a Data Source connected to salesforce, select the respective relationship in the Ecosystem page and navigate to the Opportunity section by clicking on the Sales option in of the sub-navigation.
- Click on Data Sources in the upper right corner of the Campaigns page.
- You will see a pop-up window with the available data sources.
- Click on Refresh data. This will fetch all the available records specific to that data source filter.
Create a salesforce Data Source for Sales - Contacts
- To create a Data Source from Salesforce, select the respective relationship in the Ecosystem page and navigate to the Contacts section by clicking on the Configuration option in of the sub-navigation.
- Navigate to the bottom of the Contacts page.
- Click on Add data source. As Salesforce is integrated into this Pronto instance, you will see salesforce in the listed options.
- Click on the Salesforce icon. This will open a dialogue window to name this data source. Click on Save and Continue.
- You are navigated into the Data Source page to create a filter to retrieve records from salesforce related to this relationship.

- To import Lead(s) from a Data Source connected to salesforce, select the respective relationship in the Ecosystem page and navigate to the Leads section by clicking on the Marketing option in of the sub-navigation.
- Click on Data Sources in the upper right corner of the Campaigns page.
- You will see a pop-up window with the available data sources.
- Click on Refresh data. This will fetch all the available records specific to that data source filter.
