This article outlines a series of steps to do the following:
Import an existing excel Contacts file to Pronto
Go to the Ecosystem module and choose the Relationship to which you want to Import Contacts downloaded from another CRM or from an Excel sheet.
Once the Dashboard page loads, click on the Sales tabwithin the selected Relationshipon the sub-navigation.
On the Contacts page, click on the Add contact(s) tab on the top right corner of the screen and click on Report from the drop-down menu to select and upload.
Select the desired .xlsx or .csv file from your local system and click Next.
Once you click on Next, you will see a pop-up window which automatically* maps the system fields to the report that is being uploaded. Map the remaining Mandatory fields and the other fields that you want to populate.
*Pronto uses state of the art AI and ML algorithms and other necessary coded intelligence to discover, learn and auto map your spreadsheet headers to Pronto fields. The experience of uploading further reports becomes more intuitive and seamless as the system constantly learns and enriches based on the past data uploaded. Make sure the Source Record ID* is mapped to the Contact which you want to be updated and not duplicated.
*Source Record ID can be Contact first name, last name or a specific ID from the excel sheet
If you uploaded a weekly or a bi-weekly report previously and if you are uploading the report again with the new edited or added data, make sure the Source Record ID* is mapped to the Opportunity which you want to be updated and not duplicated.
Note: Please note the mandatory fields required denoted by *
After you map the corresponding fields, click on Next to start the import process.
You will now be navigated to the Import contacts screen where you can import only some contacts from the list or select all the contacts to import. You will see a message to the bottom left of the page “Fields have been mapped successfully” and “Contacts have been fetched successfully”.
On the Import Contacts page, select all the contacts you want to import and click on Add to Contacts to the bottom right corner of the screen.
The contacts will be uploaded and you will see a message Contacts have been added successfullyto the bottom left of the screen.
You can set a filter condition to filter data from your source file before importing it into Pronto.
a) Set "AND" condition(s)
--> To set the filter, select the Set "AND" condition(s) option on the top right of the screen. --> Provide the desired filter condition and click on Fetch data to filter the data in your source file.
b) Set "OR" condition(s)
--> To set the filter, select the Set "OR" condition(s) option on the top right of the screen. --> Provide the desired filter condition and click on Fetch data to filter the data in your source file.
